I just spent today and yesterday tagging my previous posts. Obviously I didn't go all the way back, it was too much for me to handle. And I suck at labeling too as I do get confused over what I should label each post under :(
Some time ago, I read from the papers an article about the irritating things that Singaporeans love to do. And I totally identify and agree with the article.
I can't stand people who plonk themselves on the right side of an escalator and refuse to move their sorry ass out of people's way. Didn't they learn that if you are too lazy to walk up the escalator, keep left? The right side of the escalator is for people to walk. It is so hard to be separated from their gf/bf for a few seconds that they have to stand side by side every minute they see each other?? It gets worse when you say "Excuse me" and they reluctantly move to the left and stare at you like you are the rude and impatient one.
The other type of person who really gets on my nerves are those who stand in front of the lift panel and refuse to press the door open or close button for people. I mean its not really helping when there are tons of people coming out of the lift and by the time you could get in, you get kiap by the doors because the only person left inside the lift decided that he/she prefers the entire lift to himself/herself. How bloody hard is it to just hold the door for people? And the worse thing is that they are not oblivious to people, they are just trying to train their eye-power. Maybe one day they will manage to control things with their eyes but in the meantime, can they at least hold the door?
Another type of person who is really really irritating are those who refused to wait for a few seconds before you come completely out of the lift or the MRT and rush in. Its ridiculous how they just rush in before people can even get out. They can take the next lift or train if they can't manage to squeeze their way through the current one but if people can't get down at the stop, they can't wait for a second chance. And its not like waiting for a few seconds for people to get out or down will result in a matter of life or death. Its bloody ridiculous how rude Singaporeans can be or rather, are.
