Okok. The intruder was bored and was bugging me to update my blog, so I asked her to update for me. Come on, who would seriously believe that she was not bored?

Anyway, I figured it's time to catch up on my blogging too, not that I need reminder from her...

So, here are photos from A&W trip some time back. I have been saying that I want to eat A&W ever since they closed down here and so, the next nearest place is M'sia. And off we went searching for it in M'sia.

Abovementioned is the story that the driver would want others to believe: that we went in purposely to look for A&W, but it was not the actual story. The actual thing that happened was...

I wanted to eat cheese balls that used to be manufactured by Planta, remember when you were young and the balls were in a cylinder-like container with blue and yellow colours? Well, I've searched well through the supermarkets here and found none of those. The only Planta item I could find was, you've guessed it, margarine. So, the driver cleverly suggested we go to Jusco to find it, since he claimed that he had seen it there. And, off we went to Tebrau City, supposedly. But I don't know why, it just seemed like we couldn't get to the place. Everywhere was really unfamiliar territory and the signs were pointing us to KL, which is not a very good sign. So, we got depressed and finally admitted that we were lost and turned out of the expressway and voila, we saw A&W in the Petronas petrol station, opposite a Jusco, though not our intended destination.

So, if we try to find the place again, I guess we will have to try to get lost again, and feel depressed enough to turn out of the expressway and hope for the best. Either case, I finally had my long-awaited A&W, though it doesn't seem to be as fantastic as I remembered it to be. Maybe now that I've become older, my expectations of food has increased too. :(

Root beer float
We already had lunch before we impromptu-ly decided to leave Singapore so I had initially just wanted a corny dog. But of course, the greedy driver HAD to order this huge meal, just because he wanted cheese curly fries.. Can't he had just ordered the fries??
Since we had already ordered a feast we most probably cannot finish, we might as well add more items to the wastage. And there's the waffles. But it is just normal. Waaayyy below expectation. Boo.
I guess the best thing of A&W is the root beer float!
And we left A&W in search of my cheese balls in Jusco and I bought some fake Planta cheese balls, which I've still yet to try. While we were deciding if we wanted Starbucks, we were attracted by this un-eye-catching man, doing an extremely eye-catching thing, peeling coconuts. Just trying to describe his actions is not doing justice to him but I still have to try.

Basically, what he does was to peel the coconut flesh off the husk and put into a plastic container, with the juice and sell to others. And he was super skilful! But the tools that he used somehow looked like the thing that I used to use to wear shoes.

Tadah! The whole coconut flesh and juice. In one complete piece!
