Another mayday concert went by. How times fly. Although it was still a great concert but somehow, the feeling I used to have at their concerts seemed to have subsided. I don't think it is because my love for the band has subsided. It might be more related to my mentality. Maybe I've grown older and am no longer as crazy as I was before. Or maybe I just had too much on my mind.
Nevertheless, their talents cannot be discredited. They seemed to be adept at interacting with the crowd and just fitting their songs into new tunes. But they also seem to be trying to move away from their old songs that made many of us know them initially. They stopped singing 志明与春娇 and 憨人. And they sang significantly less Hokkien songs than before. Maybe they are trying to establish themselves more as a Chinese band than a Taiwan local band. I have no idea. But I have to say, Ashin is amazing in his skills to make us do foolish things with him willingly, like doing the L-O-V-E signs, screaming at his cue and whims, jump around like silly frogs and the list goes on.
It was relatively fun though I would think that it does not really measure up to previous concerts but maybe they were too tired from a very long concert tour which had only ended last week on 19th April in Genting. But its promising and heartening to see the entire Indoor Stadium filled to every seat. It is nice to know that there are many others who love them as I do and when I walk on the streets, they might just be the stranger walking beside me!
