Day4, 5 It was just random shopping around the TST area and we ended up buying books watches and all sorts of funny things.
Day 6, 7 So my 5+ hours journey to China begins with us ending up in Chao Zhou (潮洲, I hope this are the correct words). Let me try to use simple words to sum up my 2 days there: - hot like hell - super fresh vegetables - mutation of dogs which makes them look like pigs - super noisy Everyone was hitting their horns like nobody's business and it was damn noisy! They have all those tuk-tuk lookalike vehicles (they are 'taxis' anyway) all over the place and every vehicle on the road horn at every moving thing they can see. I think the only vehicle which does not horn is the bicycle. Maybe partly because it is not exactly a vehicle and of course, I doubt their 'ting-ting' horn can be heard over the din. Nevertheless, it was a different sort of experience. Oh ya, and I watched the World Cup Finals with a guy there. So it sums up my WC adventure in which I watched the boring matches at home, the relatively interesting ones with my friends and the victory of my favourite team, aka Italy, overseas!
I'm getting lazy to come online once in a while to update you guys on my next day so I'll try to fit the rest of my days here. At least as much as I could. Just bear with me k.. I'll try to make it as short as possible. I think you guys will not be too interested in my boring overseas trip too. Anyway here goes.
Day 8 Another 6+ hours journey back to Shen Zhen because the road was jammed. So, 4 hours of shopping in Shen Zhen and I came back with 2 bags for myself and a wallet. Yes, I know what you are thinking. No shoes, no watches and only 2 bags. I do know how to control myself ok...
Day 9 Ok, if you guys have noticed, my entries get shorter and shorter. It's not because it is no longer interesting but I'm beginning to omit quite a few things. Lazy la.. Can't wait for the 14th day. Anyway... Went to Chang Zhou (长洲） and I can tell you the weather was absolutely psychotic. I attempted to ride the 三轮车 to ferry my mum around the island but failed by a small margin. Meaning I can ride the thing but might not be able to last the whole trip so in order not to risk having to push the damn thing back, we chose to walk. Bad choice. Should have just rented bicycles for everyone of us. Anyway, nothing much there and the weather was killing us, so we decided to end our trip early. Went up to the Peak and the Wax Museum place up there. It was ok, not as fascinating as I thought it would be. But the night view from the Peak is really unbelievable. Of course, my dear camera decided to die on me at that moment and so I only have 1 pathetic photo from the top of the Peak.
Ok, I think I should stop. To tell you guys just for fun, in case any one is actually interested in my past and present entries, the next 2 days will be at Ocean Park and Disneyland. I'll try to get it over and done with so I can continue with my more intellectual and cannot-understand-the-world entries. Till then.
