Ok, so the previous entry evoked quite different responses from different people. Thought my response would be too long for the tagboard so here I am. My idea is of how people like to talk about other people instead of talking about themselves. People don't really like to talk about themselves and offer information about themselves. So the next best thing is to talk about others, or in other words, gossip. By this, how many of you can claim to know the people you hang out with all the time very well? I don't think so. There will always be some conscious effort on the part of some to try to avoid talking about themselves. Even if they do, it will be about some unimportant things which will tell others nothing about their true self. So ya..
