Before last wednesday, I have never stepped into a polyclinic. My impression of a polyclinic used to be real run-down with all the rickety overhead fans but apparently they upgraded too. I always wonder why is it that people love to visit polyclinics. Maybe it's for the cheap consultation or the easy conning of MCs. How things change. In a span of 5 days, I have became a regular whom the nurses and the admin people know by name and face. And I also know that consultation is not cheap and the doctors are not very generous with MCs. So why the visitation of polyclinics, I still don't know. Don't worry. I haven't caught a terminal illness which requires me to go back for consultation everyday, its just that I have to take blood test until my platelet counts is of satisfactory amount, and the big day is TODAY!! After today, I wouldn't have to go back to the polyclinic every morning and queue up with everyone else and wait for a million years for the doctor to give me another blood test form for tomorrow. And the elderly whom I've seen and met in these days are enough to last me for my whole lifetime. I think going to a polyclinic would not be on my mind for at least another few years. Unless I have no choice or there is something new to interest me in polyclinics, which I seriously doubt so.
