What is death? Can you predict it? What if we go out tomorrow and the building that we are in collapses suddenly? What if we just faint suddenly while walking on the road? Apparently, this is a very bad month. Many things had happened and they are not exactly good stuff. After my friend told me about what had happened and I know nothing of them, I really feel so useless. 2 of my friends' dads died in a span of 1 week or so and I only know of it yesterday. One of the death was expected and the other was unexpected. He just fainted during work and never woke up again. But again, the former is considered one of my good friends and to think that I don't know anything about it. After these, I thought about quite a lot of stuff.
Life is so short. You will never know when you are going to leave this world, your friends, family and everything. It's essential to live your life meaningfully than to indulge your entire life in securing a University certificate so that you could get a well-paying job in the future. What is the point? Why can't we do things that we like instead of going with the flow to get a practical and well-paying job? I believe in pre-destination. I believe that the things that happens in our lives are part of a larger plan that we are supposed to follow. Call me weird, call me traditional, call me coward for not trying to change the path of my life, I don't care. I believe that no matter what you try to do to change your life, even if you think that you have successfully changed the course of your life, I still think that it is because things are meant to be that way. So, to hell with everything else and do things that you want and like.
But considering how the world is operating now, I really don't think that we can do anything we want. Everything in the world works because of money. It seems like the world really revolves around money. Singapore and Malaysia quarrel because of money issue of water supply. Many other countries too bring their conflicts to international court because they do not want to lose the conflicts which will lead to loss of profits or something like that. It's kind of impossible to go according to your dreams when the thought of being poor in the money-minded world is so scary. There are seriously not many people who are willing to give up their high-paying jobs and pursue their interests. Actually I think that I might become like one of those people who will go for their interests instead of being practical. Being an archaelogist or a historian is not exactly practical right. Haha. But again, like I said earlier, life is so short, why make yourself suffer when you can enjoy?
About something on a lighter note. Went with layhoon to baoru's dad's wake today and it was a damn awkward situation lor. As we are not very close to baoru and she was crying and was with her boyfriend, we were afraid of approaching her. In the end, we were hiding behind a few pillars thinking of ways to approach her and things to say to her. After like about 10 minutes then we walked up to her. Even then, we too don't know what to say. We were saying things like 'take it easy', 'take care'. Things that sound fake. So in the end, it was a bad situation. Haiz.. Seriously hope that we had made her happier with our presence instead of feeling worst because of us two morons. Haha..
