Sitting postures of girls has always been something which I had wonder about constantly. Why is it that girls always have to sit in demure positions so as not to be the next talking point by others? This is extremely unfair to us women of the world. I remember when I'm out with my dad, whenever he sees another person, normally a girl, not sitting in the standard accepted manner, he would point her out to me. But as the rough and unlady-like girl I am, I would be abit embarrassed because that's how I sit sometimes when I'm out too. Wonder how other people's dads think and say to their daughters when they see my sitting position. haha..
You might ask why I would suddenly talk about such an expected topic. I mean, its of common knowledge that girls HAVE TO sit properly so as not to having people discussing about the colour of your undies WHEN YOU ARE WEARING A SKIRT. So what about when you are wearing pants? Girls still can't sit in a position they deem comfortable because of negative opinions from others. I mean, its basic courtesy to sit properly when you are wearing a skirt, especially if you do NOT have the figure to flaunt. This is to save others from seeing the flabby thighs that are deemed as 'disgusting' by many. The reason why I'm being quite mean is because kutu, kat, pervin, huilin and I actually saw a girl from school sitting in an obscene manner that has the might to make us all puke out our lunch. Her legs were wide open and kat had a clear view of everything that's underneath. haha.. Can you imagine our disgust? Today, she again came to sit at the table opposite ours and kutu started being obsessed with her and told mx and xpr to see how she sits later on. But when she faces the wall instead of us, kutu is actually disappointed about missing the 'free show' and even asked mx and xpr to walk past her and look. haha.. How nonsensical can it be? haha..
Poor us, have to sit in a manner accepted by the society so as not to 'incur the wrath' of the members of the society. Isn't it good if we can just ignore all opinions others have of us? We will then be able to do things we are truly comfortable with, without the watching eyes of the society. By then, maybe we'll be more humane because there will not be anymore hypocrisy as no one will need to act in front of others again. Damn.. Sound so intellectual today.. Must be the tic-tac-toe game I played with xpr just now.. haha..
