Long time never touch my comp because I was busy doing homework. Can you believe it? I'm actually deciding to start being hardworking already and stop playing that much. Was abit more determined to study harder after my teacher talked to my mum today. The parent-teacher meeting was not as bad as expected because lao shi only complained about the whole class as bad and asked me to study harder and get an A for my maths which I am getting a F for. Maybe lao shi likes me, maybe she has nothing to complain about me, but I definitely got off ALOT more lightly than the rest of my classmates whose parents had turned up. My mum was also very nice to me even after the meeting. To sum it up, it was actually quite nice because I even got to skip my history lesson. haha..
BUT, I must still complain about the school!!
I mean, we have lessons till the 9th June!! What the hell! Although I dunno if its also the case for other schools, its still totally unfair.. Everyone(I assume) can look forward to the coming holidays this coming saturday but we poor YJCians have to continue coming to school for normal lessons. So, technically we only have around 1 week of holidays because many people still have to go back to school for retests. Of course, the school has a reason for the extension of lessons, they ALWAYS have. They tell the J1s that because they went for Outward Bound and missed 2 weeks of lessons thats why they have to stay back but what about us? Haiz.. Think I have to stop complaining but I think schools now are no longer humane and feeling towards the students.
Caused by schools and programmes like this. Do schools really think that being a student means that your life revolves around school work and studying? Students also need to have their social life. With all these drilling and planning of tryin to squeeze many things into such little time, how can students rest their tired little brains? Without rest plus the bad weather nowadays, students will fall sick easily. Moreover, schools and the government are encouraging students to think out of the box, how to think when their brains are cramped with little facts and formula that they need to be able to pass exams? So, it can't be blamed if Singaporeans are NOT creative. Its partly the fault of the education system. To think that Singapore's supposed to be an education hub with such education system. I'm not condemning the system as it has been proven to produce results but with what price? Nothing I can do about it but to obey. What to do? Singapore is such a realistic country where you can't survive without a basic degree cert. No choice but to get at least a degree cert before I can decide to do whatever I want. Haiz.. My life's is in such contradiction.
Anyway, according to kutu, me and her have downgraded to become Rosencrantz and Guilderstern in Mrs Kwang's class because she just can't differentiate our names.. haha.. She will call my name and look at kutu and vice versa.. haha.. Shall stop here.. Going to eat my dinner now.. ciao~
